There was a belief that music was a special arena where brilliant modern artists flourished. Lately however a different attitude has emerged. Whether through reality TV shows, the use of music in movies and games, and other music formats promoted on screen and via the internet, music is seen as just a constituent part of the entertainment business. Is this true? And if so, then what opportunities might arise for musicians and bands?
