Having amicably parted ways with The Blizzards after nearly a decade of hit-making, Bressie headed in 2010 to London where he promptly landed himself a deal with Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment stable. As well as writing and producing for other artists, he found time last year to release his debut solo album, Colourblind Stereo, which is a pop delight from start to finish. He’s also graced our TV screens s one of the judges on The Voice Of Ireland.

· Bressie’s recent songwriting partners include Gomez man Tom Gray.
· They were supposed to be penning a tune for Olly Murs but Bressie decided to keep ‘Please Don’t Break My Android Heart’ for himself.
· As a youngster the singer spent many a school holiday in The Lebanon where his Irish Army dad was stationed.
· No lesser an authority than Brian O’Driscoll reckons that if Bressie had remained a professional rugby player – Leinster had him on their books – he’d have been capped by Ireland.
