Luka Bloom

lukabloom303wKevin Barry Moore aka Luka Bloom is one of Ireland’s most popular and hard-working singer-songwriters, with 18 long play records to his name. He began playing music in school and first toured in 1969, opening for older brother Christy across the UK. Bloom has since toured at home and in America, Australia and Europe numerous times, building a formidable reputation. 2007 brought Tribe, a collaboration with County Clare musician Simon O’Reilly and, the following year, Bloom released, Eleven Songs, which features a bigger band and bigger sound than previous records. The singer is well known for his thoughtful cover versions of songs from other genres like pop and reggae.
