The Brilliant Things
The Brilliant Things have been wowing a speedily-gathering fan-base with their unique brand of intelligent synth-pop. The duo consists of Marie Junior and Greg French, who have together and separately gained a wide experience throughout the music industry, despite being in their twenties. Marie was raised in a music environment, her Dad a musician and band manager. She had a previous incarnation as the solo artist Sweet T, scoring an Irish chart top 40 placing with her take on The Mekon’s ‘I Love a Millionaire’. Greg is a multi-instrumentalist, and has done time as both house and assistant engineer in several top recording studios, working with artists and producers of the calibre of The Corrs, Van Morrison, Mutt Lang and Brian Eno. The Brilliant Things are currently working on their debut album under the watchful eyes of Corrs’ producer Olle Romo. They promise it will raise the bar in contemporary pop music with infectious pop melodies, foot-to-the-floor electronic and their cheeky cynicism.
