Philip King has been closely involved in the arts in Ireland for over 20 years. His roles have included that of film producer/ director, music producer, musician, songwriter and radio broadcaster. Founder of Hummingbird productions with his wife Nuala O’Connor, King has an enormously impressive CV under his belt. His list of works includes the Emmy Award-winning Bringing It All Back Home, Freedom Highway and a canon of fine works for RTÉ, including the revered Other Voices series and An Droichead Beo. An arts-based film maker of unique calibre, he has also created world class documentaries such as the widely acclaimed John McGahern, A Private World. He is an active member of the Arts Council, and last year his old band, the legendary Scullion, reformed for their 30th anniversary. He remains a leading light in Irish music and arts documentary creation.
