Saturday 1pm @ The Music Show 2008, RDS Dublin
It is generally felt within the music industry that the days of big advances for young bands are gone, and that as a result, it’s getting tougher for nascent artists to develop their careers over a long period of time. What is the outlook for young bands signing to a big label? And is it the best route for them to go in order to advance their careers?
Offering their different perspectives on these questions will be Universal Music’s Mark Crossingham, Corrs manager John Hughes, The Gorgeous Colours’ Geoffrey McArdle and solo artist Julie Feeney. It’s sure to be a hugely educative experience for aspiring young artists.
The Music Show presented by Hot Press in association with RTÉ 2FM runs from October 3rd-4th in The RDS, Dublin. Saturday 3rd October 10 am – 6.30 pm, Sunday 4th October 11 am – 6 pm.
