Roxegen

October 5th, 2007 by nay

How the worm has turned! There’s a blog over on MySpace dated July 06, frothing with glee at landing a press pass for Punchestown. Back in the Dark Age when HP was something to eat dinner off, Oxegen seemed like a plum job (and it was, despite acting like a tit with Death Cab For Cutie and the onslaught of Hurricane Catriona, I was warm and smug in my VIP bracelet).
This year my wellies lost their shine. As I wore faffy pumps and forgot to bring socks, my wellies also chafed.

Saturday started off with an interview with Felix from The Maccabees. He was tops, very sound. We talked about Ham Sandwich

Kate Nash celebrated her birthday by sounding brilliant on stage. Shilpa interviewed shortly after while I lurked for pics. Her manager is such a Manager.

Apparently a favourite of <3 Franz Ferdinand <3 I only just managed to prevent joking about sibling DNA tests with The Cribs.

“Give us a spooky peek over the top of that murder-bag, then?”
“I’m not doing that, it’s rubbish. I’ll look stupid!”
The Horrors took the news with good grace.

Fantastic Racecourse: Mwah@New Young Pony Club. The Village cloakroom still haven’t got back to me since I lost my heart at the NYPC gig in the Village in April…My favourite band of 2007.

Glorious evening in Kildare; shame about the Scissor Sisters.

Some live shots….

Biffy Clyro, surely Rockstars now?

Dizzee…saw him after but too shy to say hello *sigh*

Beth Ditto: in Ireland your type wear leggings.

Snow Patrol: I feel a curious affinity for the name Lightbody. It’s so tranquil.

Muse only work on headphones for me.

…unlike The National, who were mesmerising. My pics were crap because I literally couldn’t concentrate. Photo pits rock xx
