Congratulations to Halves who topped the Other Voices viewers’ poll last week! The band were chosen by The People from a variety of Irish musicians including Imelda May, Villagers, Si Schroeder, Lisa Hannigan, Chequerboard and MJEX so that really is a worthy achievement!

With a new single Blood Branches available on 7″ in March as a split with Subplots, le major gig in Belfast’s Ulster Hall on March 9th and a stint at Canadian Music Week – Alison Curtis has a full list of bands over on TodayFM.

However here’s THE CLINCHER for June:

We will be flying to Montreal to begin recording for our debut album, we’re delighted to announce we’ll be recording with a hero of ours- Efrim Menuck (founding member of both Godpseed You! Black Emperor and A Silver Mt. Zion) in Godspeed’s own studio Hotel2Tango – he did the British Sea Power album which sounds great so fingers crossed!
