Well they’ve gone and done it now…make way for Alias Empire, the vampy successor to Dry County.

New music in the MySpace player - Coffee Cup and Boys Have Had Enough - got the AE treatment and there’s still plenty of the crisp signature electronica that propelled 2007’s Unexpected Falls to high accolade. They certainly seem to have spent a choice amount on props in this latest promo shoot, up for public viewing on their profile or you can check out more photos by Dublin snapper Mark Duggan on his White Noise Visuals site.
I like that promo shot. Has a good strong visual style, a sense of humour, and it’s made me somewhat curious about the band. Well done Mr Duggan.
Was only vaguely aware of them as Dry Country from their stint at HWCH, but I think Alias Empire is probably a better name going forward.
Yeah, I like the new name too…there were so many mixups with Bon Jovi it must have been hellish. It took them six months to come up with a replacement handle but it works…

Good to see them back. Unexpected Falls was a deadly album, regardless what direction they take with the band I’m sure they’ll do great things.
