What a year it’s been for Jape! 2008 has been a biggie and probably exhausting for the Crumlin fella but as Decembers wraps it up, Ritual’s hitting all the Best-Of lists, hard. The Tripod show on December 18 will therefore be a stupendous capstone for Richie and his many loyal fans.

Jape and David Kitt teamed up to record I Will Cry This Christmas for a brilliant Indiecater Christmas Compilation, which also features Kill Krinkle Club and Nina Hynes amongst a heavenly host of international artists. It’s the perfect seasonal accompaniment for a soft-hearted Christmas grinch like myself with tunes such as There Is No Santa, Little Boy, Christmas In Jail and Merry Christmas, Blogosphere!
