Fighting With Wire nab Biffy Support

Fighting With Wire HWCH08

Fighting With Wire were yesterday announced as the support act for Biffy Clyro’s return to Ireland in December. The Derry trio will play alongside the Scottish rockers at both sold-out Dublin and Belfast dates.
The Academy show comes on the back of a headline slot at Hard Working Class Heroes and their critically-acclaimed Man vs Monster album in March.

Just saw this… (uneccessarily) scathing abuse directed at fine Irish band who have been plugging away for years at their craft, tirelessly touring, ever generous with their time and constantly throwing unashamed gratitude to their army of dedicated fans, complete with absolutely no bullshit attitude and passion for every note they play dripping from their pores.

Sad that NME feels they deserve this torrent of abuse… some of which almost sounds personal. Get over yourselves NME, there are more constructive and articulate ways of announcing that a performance was not to your taste. We can’t all fit neatly into your press pack of nice, inoffensive musak that you so famously like to encourage.

Fighting With Wire ‘bland’??? Even if you are not a fan, they are anything but.
Were they even at the bloody gig???
