What’s Happened to IMC?
Irish Music Central has come to a standstill. The front page hasn’t refreshed since April and the last update was March. Has it folded? Does anyone know why?
I loved this little site and really notice its absence. Sure it needs a makeover via a shot of adrenaline but its heart’s in the right place.

It seemed to have dried up last year only to get a new burst of life a few months ago. Looks like it’s dried up again. It used to be a great site back in the day!

I think the fun wears off after a while though!
I noticed it was really active again a few months ago too. If it’s folded, it’s a real shame. Having lost CPU we need as many sites as possible to track the progress of new music. The competition and maintenance was probably too fierce: there are some good sites like HP.com and State for snippets of news, reviews and listings but I do prefer exclusively Irish, Drop-D being my fave. But the more, the merrier…here’s hoping it’s on hiatius!

Um, no. Jim Carroll’s blog covers a completely different sphere of music, industry, international and some homegrown. I’ve never used JC’s blog as a source for a story of my own. Do try and keep up…
