Carly Sings and Jape at Road Recs

Two stellar Irish talents release new albums today and mark the occasion with exclusive in-store performances at Road Records.

Carly Sings appears in the shop today at 1:15pm to perform tracks from her debut album The Glove Thief. Based in Dublin and Paris, she’s been steadily writing and composing her own brand of alternative pop since she bought her first guitar two years ago. Since then Carly’s played with Adrian Crowley, Chequerboard and Crayonsmith and has fast ascertained a strong following amongst lovers of high-quality, heartfelt tunes.

Jape’s hugely anticipated Ritual has been a long time coming as V2 Records’ closure delayed its original release. You can check out the spring in Richie’s step tomorrow when he looks in at Road Records for a lunchtime (1:30pm) session.
Reknowned also for playing in Redneck Manifesto, Jape’s success has soared in the last year with the success of everyone’s favourite video, Floating and later this month we’ll see him take to the Glasto stages along with a select few other Irish acts.
