After a grand stretch of treats, Other Voices is coming to an end of an excellent sixth series on March 26th and the chance is yours to vote for your favourite performers. What a series it’s been, too: I remember looking forward to Seasick Steve but hadn’t prepared for the hellfire of Mary Gauthier or Fight Like Apes’ excellent performance in Dingle’s tiny church. There’s great work being done there and one of the few RTE shows I really look forward to each week.
When series six’s line-up was announced Jim mentioned SXSW is the starting point for OV’s schedule. Which means all eyes on stage this weekend in Texas as aural Irish ambassadors show ‘em what we’ve got: Iain Archer, Channel One and The Bleedin Bleedins would be my hazardous guess at next series’ guests…but back to the present…get voting for your recent favorites!
