Art-rock new-wavers Sanzkrit have finally announced plans to record their debut album. The Carrickmacross four-piece begin beavering away in the studio on March 21st but their highly anticipated debut won’t be on shelves until 2009. “We’re not going to rush things, it has to be perfect” singer Dave Marron stated, “though we’ll be releasing three or four singles over the next twelve months and we’re going to include some really interesting b-sides on those. Old songs, re-mixes and live stuff, plenty to keep our fans happy. We’ll still be touring a lot too.”

To celebrate the commencement of album sessions, Sanzkrit have made a new song “Berlin” available at www.sanzkrit.bebo.com to whet our appetites.
