    Dublin's annual LGBTQ Pride Festival kicks off this week with its official launch party, featuring a live performance from X Factor’s Amelia Lily, set for this Friday, June 22. Taking place in The Dragon on George's Street, doors open at 9pm and admission costs €10. Running from June 21-July 1, the launch party is just one event in this year's 11-day programme. The annual highlight of the event, the pride parade and subsequent parties, takes place Saturday, June 30. Other events include a panel discussion on marriage equality, a 5km pride run and the 25th birthday party of the Dublin Aids Alliance. ...

    YouTube have announced that they will be sponsoring this year's Dublin Pride Festival. To celebrate, the video sharing website has launched the ‘Broadcast Your Pride’ competition via Dublin Pride’s own - YouTube channel. Members of Google Ireland's LGBTQ society are calling on people everywhere to create and upload videos celebrating their pride to the Dublin Pride Channel. The most original videos posted will win a selection of Google goodies. Also available on the channel are clips from the Dublin Gay Theatre Festival and the GAZE Film Festival.
