WATCH: Body & Soul video Body and Soul Solstice Gathering | Comments Off
Over the course of one scorching day at Ballinlough Castle at last year's Body & Soul festival, Queens Of Neon and Click Zoom Media shot this video. The theme of this year’s festival is "The Ouroboros - the dragon that eats it’s own tail." The video celebrates the ethos of the Masquerade Ball - shape shifters and changelings inhabit the landscape, and the line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred. Body & Soul runs from June 22 to June 24. Set to perform are M83, Villagers, St. Vincent, Little Dragon, Shangaan Electro, Gold Panda. Tickets are on sale now. http://vimeo.com/42731362

Replicating the quirky, carefree atmosphere of the Body And Soul area at the Picnic, Body And Soul has promised a beat-tastic line-up for 2012. That said, it’d be hard not to make magic in a location as stunning as Ballinlough Castle. Yep, the sharpener in Body And Soul’s pencil case is ...

Body & Soul is more about atmospheric engineering than main attractions and hype, with the  festival aiming to be an "experience" rather than just a gig. An independent festival with a heart-shaped mind and a cutting-edge soul, this year is themed around a phoenix rising from the ashes, which will be celebrated with installations dotted throughout the festival, music, performance, a Masquerade Ball and a closing Fire Ceremony. This year's musical line-up includes Four Tet, Dr Alex Paterson (The Orb), Kormac's Big Band, Crystal Fighters, Voice of Seven Thunders, Jape, !!! (Chk chk chk), Tunng and Gaudi.
