    Belsonic has announced its first batch of supporting acts for this year's festival. Taking place in Belfast this August, acts already confirmed include Thin Lizzy, Paramore, Emeli Sandé and Madness. Now it's confirmed that Newton Faulkner, Duke Special, The Answer, Gareth Dunlop and Jody Has Hitlist will also perform at the event. Tickets are available to buy now, from Ticketmaster.     Tinie Tempah and Tiesto are the latest additions to a star-studded Belsonic festival bill that’s already bringing the likes of Plan B, 30 Seconds To Mars, Dizzee Rascal, Beady Eye, Elbow and The Specials to Belfast. The English rapper appears on August 22 with Maverick Sabre and Yasmin the supports while the Dutchman does his superstar DJ thing four-days later with Alex Metric, Caspa and Rod Azalan in tow. Talking of the boy Sabre, the Wexford-raised, London-domiciled rapper has a new single, 'Let Me Go', available from iTunes and a free mavericksabre.com mix-tape download.     More big names have been confirmed for the Belsonic festival, which takes place next month in Belfast city centre. Added to the knees-up are: August 17 – Kasabian August 18 – Paolo Nutini August 19 – Florence & The Machine August 20 – Stereophonics Day tickets are available from www.belsonic.com. priced £27.50 or £42.50 for the VIP jobbies. Support acts will be announced over the next few weeks. They join a star-studded bill, which also includes 2manydjs, Paul Weller, Biffy Clyro and David Guetta among its headliners.

    Paul Weller has been confirmed as one of the headline attractions on August 27 as the Belsonic Festival returns to Custom House Square in Belfast. Also journeying over for the weekend are 2ManyDJs (26); Biffy Clyro (28); and Madonna and Black Eyed Peas’ DJ pal David Guetta (29). Tickets go on sale on www.belsonic.com.

    As part of this weekend's Belsonic shenanigans, Duke Special is organising his very own one day festival at Custom House Square, Belfast. According to the man himself: "There's going to be spoken word, art workshops and a great line-up of music - Panama Kings from Belfast, David Forde from the UK, Jerry Fish & the Mudbug Club, Bell X1, The Magic Numbers and loads more." Not to mention Sir Duke himself. Tickets are £32 from Ticketmaster and the Stiff Kitten Bar and the fun kicks off at 3pm.

The full line-up for Northern Ireland's biggest music festival, Belsonic, has just become a lot more attractive over the past few weeks.
