Sunflower Festival

The Lion, the Witch and the Sunflower

Sunflowerfest is celebrating CS Lewis’ famous Chronicles of Narnia and their Northern Irish roots by hosting a brand new Narnia show this year at Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough.

A gigantic 10 foot wardrobe will indicate the entrance to the ‘Enchanted Glade’, a forested area with hidden surprises including photo opportunities at the famous lamp post, sitting at the Stone Table, chancing upon a fairy picnic, being tempted by some Turkish Delight or popping in to Mr & Mrs Beaver’s house for a cup of tea.

Meet the Literary Fairy (played by Alice McCullough), who will guide visitors through the forest on a quest to find Aslan, meeting a cast of characters along the way including none other than Mr Tumnus himself (played by John Shayegh). But watch out for the White Witch (played by Mary Jordan)!

Access to Narnia is free for the three days of the festival… you just have to step into the wardrobe!

Sunflowerfest returns, 17 -19th August 2012, to Tubby’s Farm, Hillsborough.
