This year’s IFI Family Festival starts this Thursday, July 5 with a double-bill of the Oscar-nominated puppet animation The Magic Piano and The Missing Key, another animation set in 1920s Venice.
From there it’s a packed programme of kid-friendly films from all over the world and a range of science and technology workshops to do with film music, animation and digital technology. The little ones can also take part in the festival’s free Irish Animation Trail on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Some of the budding movie-lovers will also be reviewing and blogging a number of the films for the IFI website. Full details of the festival can be found on the IFI website here.
All films are €5, family tickets are €15 (two adults and two children) and workshops range from €10 – €40. Book online or at the IFI Box Office (01 679 3477) for films and on 01 612 9445/01 612 9436 for workshops.
