Dublin’s annual LGBTQ Pride Festival kicks off this week with its official launch party, featuring a live performance from X Factor’s Amelia Lily, set for this Friday, June 22. Taking place in The Dragon on George’s Street, doors open at 9pm and admission costs €10.

Running from June 21-July 1, the launch party is just one event in this year’s 11-day programme. The annual highlight of the event, the pride parade and subsequent parties, takes place Saturday, June 30.

Other events include a panel discussion on marriage equality, a 5km pride run and the 25th birthday party of the Dublin Aids Alliance.
