The Galway Americana Festival is back after a year off in 2008, and it kicks off on September 10. Expect bluegrass, country, blues, cajun, Americana, old-timey and rockabilly galore.
Free gigs and pay-in events will take place all around the city in venues like the Róisín Dubh, Monroes and The Crane Bar - as well as the odd seisiún. Full details here.
