A new research conducted by Victoria University into penis size and body image has discovered that size does matter to men, but chiefly in relation to how they shape up compared with other men.

According to the researchers, “Men are more concerned about how their overall body size compares to the perceived male ideal than they are about how their size might impact on their sexual relations.”

The study, which investigated the link between men’s penis size, body image and mental health, found that men who indicated a larger-than-average penis size had higher self esteem, better general health functioning and higher overall body satisfaction than those reporting an average or below-average sized penis. The study also revealed that men who were happy with the size of their penis were less likely to engage in online dating. Interesting…

Woman were also asked what would be the name of a man that would most likely try to got for it on the first date. The answer: Dave (which is kinda funny to me as my brother is named David and girls love him… but he’s spoken for.)

The rest of the top 10 Promiscuous Names are: Stacy, Kelly, Chelsea, Tanya, Debbie, Becky, Vicky, Lisa and Michelle.

For the men, they are: Lee, Steve, Darren, Andy, Gary, Danny, Jason, Kevin and Callum.

Most woman appreciate oral sex, but sometimes guys find it hard work to make a woman climax this way. The worst thing a bloke can do is to stop as a woman is approaching orgasm. All this will do is prolong the process. Here’s a nifty trick if you are beginning to feel tongue strain.

Curl your tongue up against the outside of your upper lip. Keep the exposed backside of your tongue against her clitoris. Although you are not be doing anything with your tongue, the soft, wet sensation hasn’t been suddenly removed, disrupting the sensation of oral sex. You can press down on the clitoris with the back of your tongue creating pleasurable pressure or use your fingers to continue stimulating her.

According to an online survey, one in ten people have unsafe sex because they are too embarrassed to buy condoms. That’s awful but I sort of understand. Once, during my first sexual relationship, the boyfriend and I went into a chemist to pick up the necessary, but the old battleaxe behind the counter chased us out saying they didn’t stock “that filth”…

For years I was a little bit embarrassed about buying them myself, delegating it to whomever I was sleeping with, as a “man’s job” but on the occasions I did, I felt the need to buy all sorts of other things in the chemist, such as lipstick and hair pins, so that they wouldn’t think I’d stopped in just to get condoms. Silly I know…

Anyone have any similar tales?

Make sure you come back from your summer holiday with good memories, not regrets…

Condom Sense
Sex on the beach can be tricky when using a condom. If you suspect sand has blown onto the condom, stop and use a new one. Sand will tear tiny holes in the condom and possibly cause tiny tears on the genitals as well – ideal conditions to spread STIs. Always carry a few condoms. Even if you don’t, your friends may need them.

Condoms cannot be used in the sea or pool. Yep, sex here is a nice idea, but condoms are not guaranteed to work under these conditions. Durex has stated that there is a strong possibility that pool chemicals such as chlorine will damage their products. If you are submerged, water will wash away a woman’s natural lubricants and the condom’s lubricants as well. On a another note, improperly maintained pools and Jacuzzis are a breeding ground for bacteria, which can cause urinary tract infections among other nasty diseases.

The Pill
If you get sick or have diarrhoea from the food, your contraceptive pill’s effectiveness will be reduced. Drug awareness activists believe that some illegal substances may affect the efficacy of your pill so use condoms even if you are in a monogamous relationship.

Staying Safe
The Greek island of Kos and Mallia in Crete are especially reputed to have a culture of binge drinking and sexual attacks, so much so that the British consul in Crete is due to meet with tour operators and local officials to try and get the situation under control.

Even if your resort doesn’t have a bad rep, girls should still look after one another. Going home with a stranger and his drunken mates is very unwise. If you meet someone you like, take him back to your place or arrange to meet the next day when you are sober. Sort out a system with your friends beforehand if one or more of you meets someone.

Binge drinking is not only unhealthy, it’s pretty stupid too. Have a good time, but there’s no need to be puking your guts out on the beach. Avoid the really cheap punch and cocktails as these are often laced with industrial alcohol. Never leave your drinks unattended.

If one of your friends gets a little too merry, take her home or divvy up looking after her until she sobers up. This way she’s looked after and no one person’s night is ruined playing babysitter. Do not leave a drunken friend propped in a corner where she’ll be a target for a predator.

Most women don’t climax every time they have sex, but there are a few things you can do to help your body along. Here are some ideas.

Masturbate regularly
Sex experts believe that orgasm is a learned response. Do it enough times, and the orgasm response is stored in the long-term memory making it easier to come whenever you have sex. In addition, women who masturbate frequently experience increased sexual desire and greater sexual satisfaction.

Almost all women need clitoral stimulation to come, so this is a good place to start. Use your fingers, try sex toys and clitoral stimulators, lubricants and orgasm gels on your own. Explore fantasies, erotic fiction and pornography.

Get the angle right
Experts say that ideally a woman’s pelvis should be tilted at 26 degrees to optimise the chance of her reaching orgasm. Apparently this maximises contact between the penis and the most sensitive parts of a woman’s anatomy.

Here’s an easy way to get close to the ideal angle. The man sits on the bed with his feet under his bum. With a leg placed on either side of her partner (or over each shoulder), the woman lies on her back and arches up to meet him. He should support her back with his hands. This position is good for G-spot stimulation and can be used whether you’re having vaginal or anal sex (or using a strap-on).

Tilting the pelvis is generally a good idea when you’re having sex and can be used to improve many positions. For example, holding a woman’s back or arse during the missionary or using a cushion under her to tilt the pelvis makes this somewhat dull position a whole lot more satisfying. A smart woman should spend some quality time with a sex toy and figure out the angle herself beforehand. This will make it easier achieving the correct angle with the aid of a pillow. Alternatively, you could invest in one of the many shaped wedges that are made to improve sex. Wedges such as those by Loving Angles or Liberator Shapes help you achieve a number of angles and the correct amount of pelvic tilt with no effort at all.

The CAT
The man needs to slide two to four inches forward from the missionary position, so that his body falls flat against his partners and the base of his penis is rubbing against her clitoris. Her legs should be straight out and touching his. While she pushes her pelvis upward, he should push down gently. Aim for an up-and-down movement.

Other ideas
Research has shown that women who get stuck just before coming can reach orgasm by tensing her legs, arms, stomach or feet.

Your diet can greatly affect your sexual responses. Healthy food, plenty of vegetables and enough water means your sex drive is working at its peak. The fish oils in coldwater fish such as salmon and halibut may promote a healthy sex life and help improve blood circulation in the genitals or influence the part of the brain that responds to sexual pleasure. It has been claimed that bananas, honey and flaxseeds all increase testosterone production, which is important in both men and women for a healthy sex drive.

Herbal aphrodisiacs work like vitamins designed to increase your sexual responses. They take around 6 weeks to make a difference.
