Ah yes… virginity. It is good at the time, but I wouldn’t want it back. Most people have their first sexual experience between the ages of 16 and 17, but not all as these celebrity figures reveal.
Anthony Kiedis of the Chili Peppers and Lost star Matthew Fox were reportedly just 12 when they had sex for the first time – but not with each other! That’s a bit young methinks. Kiedis’ first sexual encounter was apparently with his father’s girlfriend, which is kinda creepy…
Johnny Depp was another early beginner. He was just 13 and had his first experience with a groupie when he was on tour with his band The Flame.
According to her mother’s memoir, famous virgin Britney Spears was not so virginal after all. She was 14 when she lost her virginity to a high-school football player, which sounds ridiculously like something out of an American teen movie.
Actress Lisa Kudrow and supermodel Adriana Lima both waited until they got married. Kudrow was 32 and Lima 27. Tina Fey lost her virginity at 24 to the man she eventually married, claiming she “couldn’t give it away” beforehand, perhaps proving that while women appreciate a good sense of humour in men, it ain’t always reciprocal…
Any one have a story they’d like to share? C’mon, you know you want to…

I lost mine quite late, 24. It wasn’t a conscious decision but rather one of being unlucky. I wanted to be a little man whore growing up but it wasn’t really me. I’d been in bed with girls and hadn’t gotten anywhere (that time of the month etc) and it got to the point when I decided I didn’t want just anyone to be my first shag. I wasn’t looking for ‘the one’ but someone in which I’d actually have a relationship with rather than a drunken one night stand. That didn’t happen and I ended up having a half-drunken one night stand with someone I knew. We could have started something but I didn’t want to. I wasn’t expecting an awkward kiss in my room to lead to losing my virginity but she was the one being very forward. It was crap.
I’ve since made up for the wannabe man-whore in me. I could never have waited til marriage to have sex, it’s such a huge, vital part of a relationship and making it work.
I have a friend who waited until he was married, and he was in his thirties… There is no way I could have managed that.
I’d still be waiting with no sign on the horizon of the cherry being popped if that was the case.
Me too. But then, I don’t believe in marriage…

do you actually believe that they did ‘wait until they were married’ though
Well it’s kinda embarrassing to admit to being over 30 so definitely believe Kudrow… Poor woman…
The ‘wait until married’ thing makes me feel a little nauseous though since the stress on virginity traditionally applied to women. It’s just one more way of exercising social control.
Of course patriarchal society has to restrain women’s sexuality. If sex wasn’t absolutely unbelievable for women they could never be persuaded to go through the pain of childbirth more than once!
I was 18 and in my second year of sixth form. I agree with dancingdivorcee’s comment on patriarchal society, was brought up in a strict Catholic household and when I lost my virginity my mother was gobsmacked!
