Sex Dictionary Part 1

Guaranteed to improve your vocabulary – but not necessarily your sex life! Here’s are some sexual terms you may not know.

Ambisexual
A term coined by Masters and Johnson. An ambisexual can be a man or woman who has no preference regarding the gender of their sexual partners.

Anorgasmia
The inability to reach orgasm. It can refer to those who have never had an orgasm, those who have had orgasms in the past but no more, people who can orgasm only in specific instances, those who can orgasm, but not during penetrative sex and people who can’t orgasm on a frequent basis.

Castration anxiety
Freud’s idea that men may have an unconscious fear about losing their penis.

Delayed ejaculation
A significant amount of time and sexual stimulation is needed to achieve ejaculation. AKA retarded ejaculation.

Dental dam
A latex sheath to cover the vagina and or anus during oral sex to avoid skin-to skin contact and exchange of body fluids – like a flat condom essentially. Some people use plastic wrap but these are not proven to stop the spread of disease.

Devotee
A person whose sexual preference is for individuals with some sort of physical impairment, such as amputees or those confined to a wheelchair.

Female ejaculation
After stimulation of the G-spot, some women may ejaculate. This liquid is not urine. AKA squirting or gushing.

Frotteurism
Rubbing against another person for sexual arousal.

Gimp
A type of submissive role in BDSM. A gimp suit is generally all black and made of rubber or leather and includes a mask or hood.

Hypersexual
Someone with has an enormous sex drive. Erroneously referred to as nymphomania or as being oversexed.
